NOW Is The Time To Start Thinking About Summer Camp In The Fort Worth Area!

The end of the school year means many different things to the parents who bring their child, or children, to our Christian preschool and daycare center. Some of them have a child they leave with us every day and an older child that’s school-age, and suddenly the older child is in need of summer care. Others have a child who is just finishing kindergarten and is returning to us for summer camp for the first time. Still others have no previous relationship with Kid’s Kampus and are looking for a Christian summer camp for their child.

No matter why you’re here, we’d like to tell you why you shouldn’t delay any longer when it comes to picking a summer camp for your child. School will be out in just over a month, and you certainly can’t wait until the middle of May to decide where your child will be going every day. Here are a few reasons to sign up for summer camp at one of our locations in Justin, or Euless.

You Want To Get The Best Summer Camp Available

Of course you want to make sure that your child gets a chance at the best summer activities available. After all, it’s summer! Summer is a time for kids to have a great time and experience activities that they normally wouldn’t during the rest of the year.

The fun never stops at Kid’s Kampus. First are the activities that occur at each of our early learning centers, such as races, science projects, table tournaments, art, storytime, basketball, and other fun activities both inside and outside the four walls of each facility.

But that’s not all! There will also be field trips kids go on, including time at the zoo, swimming, bowling, skating, miniature golf, gymnastics, and laser tag. On top of all that, there will also be opportunities for charity fundraiser and volunteer activities!

You Want Your Child To Experience Well-Rounded Activities

We’ve all heard of the summer slide, that time in summer when kids regress in their reading, science, and math abilities for the simple reason that they’re not in school every day. Teachers often waste the first month of the next school year trying to get kids back to the level they were when they left school the previous year.

Up above we talked about all of the fun things that kids are doing while they’re at our summer camp, and there’s no doubt that some of them are more fun than the average school day. But there’s also quite a bit of learning that goes on at our summer camp, even if the kids aren’t aware they’re learning. You’ll notice we discussed storytime (which includes reading time) above, and we also mentioned science experiments. Kids will be learning when they’re with us, even if they’re having too much fun to notice!

You Might Want A Christian Summer Camp

If you’re like many of the parents who bring their children to our Christian daycare center, you’re interested in keeping your children in a Christian environment. While Sunday School is a great way for children to learn more about God, some parents are interested in having their kids learn in a Christ-based environment every day. That’s what we offer at our Christian preschool and daycare.

So when parents are looking for a summer camp, it just makes sense that they’d like to keep those daily teachings as part of their children’s lives. Unfortunately, there aren’t as many Christian summer camps as there are regular summer camps. So if you wait too long to book your child’s summer with us, you might find that you no longer have a choice of a Christian summer camp and have to take one that isn’t concerned about Christian values.

You Don’t Want To Go Too Far Out Of Your Way

Here’s another good reason to pick a summer camp for your child before it gets too much closer to summer: they fill up fast. Well, the best ones fill up fast, and then you might be left with a summer camp that’s nowhere near as fun or as well-supervised as one at Kid’s Kampus.

When the premier summer camps fill up, you’ll have two choices. You can either pick one that your kids aren’t nearly as interested in, or you could drive farther away from your home to find one that they are willing to go to. Neither is a very palatable choice, so make sure to sign them up for an excellent summer camp before it’s too late!

You Don’t Want To Overburden Grandparents

Having kids grow up around grandparents is beneficial for all involved. In fact, some parents choose to have their kids stay with grandparents instead of sending them to a daycare or preschool center.

But grandparents need a break too! If you’re a parent who is relying on grandparents to handle all childcare, be sure to give them a break during the summer. They probably want to go on vacation themselves, or spend more time with friends their own age. Yes, it’s great that they enjoy spending time with your kids, but maybe giving them a couple of months off would be good for everyone.

On top of that, it’s very unlikely that grandparents will be entertaining the kids nearly as much as the summer camp at Kid’s Kampus will! Yes, there will be times when kids and grandparents all head to the movies, but how many grandparents are going to get into the laser tag arena? Or go skating? It’s important to remember that kids need to keep up their social skills during summer, which is yet another advantage of summer camp.

You Want An Experienced Staff

When you bring your children to Kid’s Kampus, you’ll be getting the same great staff as you’ll find year-round. Even more importantly, our staff is certified to take care of children and are CPR trained. They know the standards of Kid’s Kampus, including check-in and check-out practices and the age-appropriate curricula that we use.

Unfortunately, the short-term nature of summer causes many camps to hire less-than-certified personnel. Many will hire high-schoolers for their summer camps, or someone whose only qualification is that they’re good at a particular sport. At most they’ve had a background check…and at worst the summer camp might not even be registered with the state!
